At a MUNAYD conference, students work as the representative of a country, organization, or person, and must solve a problem with other delegates from around the world. MUNAYD teaches participants skills like research, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership. MUNAYD is typically used as an extracurricular activity, some schools also offer it as a class. MUNAYD is meant to engage students, and allow them to develop deeper understanding into current world issues.

WHAT IS MUNAYD?
MUNAYD (Model United Nation for African Youth Development) South Africa was founded in 2016 and registered in the Republic of South Africa early 2022. It is under branding of many different companies and organizations, but in the Republic of South Africa it is under Model United Nations (MUN) which is the division of Global delegations. The organization is operating internationally and is devoted to the development of Model United Nations (MUN) and capacity building of all personnel to promote and sustain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN.
